American Airlines flight 535 in the 'penalty box' area at Miami International Airport.
When you are flying in an airliner, you don’t really want to look out and see some military jets escorting your flight.
American Airlines Flight 535’s pilot from San Juan accidentally turned his transponder to a frequency that let’s traffic controllers know the flight is being hijacked.
The flight got a nice escort to Miami where it was met by Fire and Police. The plane was held at a holding point and inspected before being released.
Even though this was probably quite scary and kind of annoying for those involved, it is nice to see that there was a quick and mighty reaction — in case next time it is was not an accident.

- Captain (Scott) Kirk waving goodbye.
With all the new Star Trek buzz going on now (I have seen it and loved it btw) you might get a kick when flying on Southwest soon. They don’t just have one, but three Captain Kirks that pilot their (almost) star ships.
Captain (Scott) Kirk gets into it and can be seen giving the traditional Vulcan hand sign as his vessel is pushed back from the loading dock.
We all know the airlines are going through a hard time and I hope they can all pull through and live long and prosper (yea yea, I know that was bad, but I couldn’t help myself).

SeaTac Airport...15min ago.
Arrived at SeaTac airport, waiting for my AirTran flight to BWI. This is an airport I am very familiar with and have flown out of many times. I walked up to a very long security line and figured it would be a 20-30min process, but I am very impressed how organized and speedy they got through the line (only took about 5min).
With all the flatscreen TV’s, WiFi avail, and of course the classic people watching, I never seem to get too bored waiting for an airplane.
Some people have said the magic of flying is not what it used to be and maybe that is true, but every time I fly I try to respect the fact I am about to go into a metal cylinder, up to 40,000 feet, over 500mph, to travel 3000 miles in about 5hrs.
