Uzbekistan Airways Boeing 757 (VP-BUD)
Uzbekistan Airways is the flag carrier of (can you guess?) Uzbekistan. It was founded in 1992 and is owned by the government. They fly to about 50 destinations, mostly into Europe, although there is a flight to New York.
They have a very diverse fleet of aircraft including: A300-600RF, A310-300, A320-200, Boeing 757-200, Boeing 767-300ER, Il-76, Il-114, Tu-154, and Avro RJ85. They also have an order in for two Boeing 787 Dreamliners. There are rumors Uzbekistan Airways might be joining the SkyTeam alliance, allowing its passengers greater reach around the world.

A Condor Boeing 757-300 (D-ABON) in 50th Anniversary Livery
Hope everyone has a great Valentine’s day!
This Condor livery works perfectly for today. Here is a little big of information on Condor Airlines, whose 50th anniversary livery is shown in the photo:
Condor Airlines was founded in 1955 and is a no-frills airline based in Germany. In 2003 the airline’s name was changed to “Thomas Cook”, but then changed back to it original name in 2004.
The airline has a fleet of just over 30 aircraft, made up of Airbus A320-200’s, Boeing 757-300’s and Boeing 767-300ER’s.

JetBlue celebrates their 10th anniversary with a special livery.
Happy 10th Birthday to JetBlue. To celebrate, the airline painted one of their Airbus A320’s in a special livery. Normally the JetBlue livery has unique tails with the rest of the fuselage being the same on all aircraft. This celebration was too big to just stay on the tail and the 10’s go up to the wings.
Dave Barger, JetBlue’s CEO said, “since 2000, we have succeeded in building a new airline category that focuses on friendly service, free snacks and drinks, comfortable leather seating with ample legroom and complimentary satellite radio and live TV on personal seatback screens. We look forward to our next 10 years and thank all of our loyal customers and crewmembers for an incredible decade.”
JetBlue is based out of New York with a fleet of about a fleet of 150 Airbus A320’s and Embraer E-190’s. They are known for providing free satellite TV, XFM radio and unlimited free snacks.

Thai Airways Boeing 747-4D7 HS-TGO in newer airline livery
Thai Airways is the national carrier (can you guess) of Thailand. It was founded in 1960. It is almost 54% owned by the Thai Government and has achieved profit over the last 40 consecutive years.
As of October 2009, Thai Airways had almost 100 aircraft. The largest being a Boeing 747-400 and smallest an ATR-72. The airline also owns a 39% stake in Nok Air.
Check out a video that shows a Boeing 747-400 landing with old livery, then one with new livery. You can also see two Boeing 777’s next to each other — one with the new and one with the old livery.

Kulula Boeing 737-800 with "Flying 101" livery from Airliners.net
I did an “Airline Livery of the Week” on Kulula Airlines back in November, but this livery deserves a second post.
This is called “Flying 101” and shows passengers where the tail and wings are on the plane, in case you didn’t know. Although very creative, I am not sure how much passengers need to know where the “Black Box” is located at. I find it best not to remind passengers why someone might need to find the black box.
