Avianca Boeing 757-200 (N522NA) with special livery.
Avianca is based in Colombia and started operations in 1919 as SCADTA and in 1940 changed their name to Avianca. The airline is currently the oldest airline that operates in the western hemisphere and the second oldest airline in the world.
Avianca operates a fleet of 63 aircraft made up for Airbus A330, Airbus 320 family and the Fokker 50 and 100. They also own quite a few subsidies and recently merged with TACA.
The standard livery on Avianca does a great job using red and the majority of the color on the top of the aircraft and with the multiple swooping colors on the tail. The special livery shown on this Boeing 757-200 (N522NA) features Juan Valdez. The special design is to help celebrate and support the Colombian coffee trade.

Cayman Airways Boeing 737-300 (VP-CAY)
Cayman Airways was founded in 1968 and has its headquarters in George Town on the Cayman Islands. The airline’s mascot is a turtle with ascot called Sir Turtle. You can find sir Turtle on the front of the aircraft’s livery.
The airline operates non-stop service between Grand Cayman and Miami, Tampa, Washington DC, New York, and Chicago using four Boeing 737-300s. Cayman Airways also uses two Twin Otters for local regional services.

Air Bucharest Boeing 737-300 (YR-TIB)
Air Bucharest is an airline based in Bucharest, Romania and operates charter and lease flights to various destinations in Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East. The airline was founded in July 2010 and currently has only one Boeing 737-300 in an all economy configuration.
I actually really like the basic foundation of this livery. The swooping blue and red lines on the fuselage and the tail are clean, but colorful. The aircraft is currently on lease from TinarAir and it appears it once flew with them in a very similar livery. Air Bucharest added six flowers to the fuselage and two to the engine nacelles which is a bit of an overkill, but I assume they wanted to customize the livery. In many recent photos (including this one), the nose cone was replaced and has not been repainted. The livery looks much more completed with the nose cone painted and hopefully that is on the airline’s to-do list.

Air Moldova Airbus A320
Air Moldova was founded in 1993 and is based in ChiÅŸinău, Moldova. When the airline first started operations, it was a unit of Aeroflot, Russia’s governmental airline. At first, the airline operated with old Russian aircraft: the Tupelov TU-154, TU-134, and Yakovlev Yak-42s.
Today they have a fleet of five aircraft including three Airbus A320s, one Embraer 120 and one Embraer 190.
The livery looks a bit odd to me with the fuselage being half blue and not really properly flowing into the tail. However, it looks a heck of a lot better than the old Aeroflot livery with a new name slapped on.

Zambezi Airlines Boeing 737-500
Zambezi Airlines is based at Lusaka International Airport in Zambia (located in south central Africa) and started operations in July 2008 using a single Embraer 120. They currently operate three Boeing 737-500s and have expanded operations. Even though Zambezi Airline’s website states the airline has, “quickly gained a reputation for service and reliability,” they are currently banned from flying to the European Union.
Zambezi has helped the local economy by bringing a maintenance hangar back online that was once owned by Zambia Airways and was abandoned after the carrier went under in 1993. Where most other African airlines send their aircraft to South Africa for work, Zambezi has provided local aviation jobs in Lusaka. It is estimated that the airline has spent close to $700,000.00 on getting the facility back to working order.
The airline has a pretty slick livery with giraffe print on the tail and engine cowlings and simple green titles on the fuselage. I was kind of hoping that the seats would be giraffe print fabric, but it appears they are a standard blue — oh well.
