Air Finland's new livery on a Boeing 757

Air Finland's new livery on a Boeing 757

I love it when an airline has a snoozers livery and turns it into a WOW livery. Found some mock-ups on Airliners.net and couldn’t help by share. Take a look at their currently livery. It is not the world’s worst, but definitly not inspiriting. Of course any livery in an air-to-air shot with a Boeing 757 is going to look good. Seeing the livery on the ground isn’t as exciting.

Air Finland is based at the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in Vantaa, Finland. They have a flee of three Boeing 757-200s that they use in scheduled and charter flights. They were founded in 2002 and started flights in 2003. From Europe they fly to Africa, Canada and Mexico.

UPDATE: The first Boeing 757 has been painted. Here is a photo of the actual plane. Wow, I almost think it looks better in real life vs the mock up! Thanks @APGPhoto.

Santa Barbara Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (YV153T)

Santa Barbara Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (YV153T)

Santa Barbara Airlines (or SBA Airlines) is based in Caracas, Venezuela. It was founded in November 1995 and is based out of the Simón Bolàvar International Airport. They have a fleet of about 20 aircraft ranging from the ATR 42 to the Boeing 767-300ER. They fly mostly in South America, but do have a flight to Miami, Portugal and Spain.

Their current livery fills the aircraft up a bit more than their previous one. They also promote going by “SBA” versus their full name of Santa Barbara Airlines.

US Airways Airbus A319 (N717UW) in Panthers Livery

Go Panthers! Or at least go US Airways Airbus A319 Panthers. US Airways also flies Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles liveries representing the cities with US Airways hubs. The football season just started, so a great way to celebrate. Although I enjoy watching football-themed liveries more than the game itself.

UPDATE: How could I forget the US Airways A319 dressed as a Cardinal?! Thanks @TaylorMcManus for pointing that out!

I really like the Panther livery with the color, but it just looks odd that the panther is not on the tail, instead there is small writing.

Thanks Drew V for sending over this photo!

Allegiant Airlines Boeing 757 (N901NV) with full livery

Allegiant Airlines Boeing 757 (N901NV) with full livery

A while back I was able to get a hold of a photo of a Boeing 757 with only the winglet painted with Allegiant Livery. Today I was sent a photo of the whole (ok, minus the nose) plane decked out in Allegiant livery.

As reported previously, Allegiant is looking to fly the planes to destinations in Hawaii. To date, they have not announced where they will fly.

I do not know when or where this photo was taken, but I do know the Allegiant livery looks dang good on a Boeing 757 in my opinion.

Kulula Airline's This Way Up livery on a Boeing Boeing 737-800 (ZS-ZWO)

This is the third time that Kulula Airlines has made it to my airline livery of the week. A unique honor for them, but they just keep coming up with such clever liveries! Previously I looked at their Flying 101 livery and their swirly livery. Where I think the Flying 101 is better, this one is easier to get and read.
