Kulula Boeing 737-800 with "Flying 101" livery from Airliners.net
I did an “Airline Livery of the Week” on Kulula Airlines back in November, but this livery deserves a second post.
This is called “Flying 101” and shows passengers where the tail and wings are on the plane, in case you didn’t know. Although very creative, I am not sure how much passengers need to know where the “Black Box” is located at. I find it best not to remind passengers why someone might need to find the black box.

Jin Air's livery on a Boeing 737-800
Air Jin was the hardest to find a good picture of their livery. I guess they are pretty new, starting in 2008, only fly to two destinations (Seoul and Bangkok) and they only have four Boeing 737-800’s. I think the extra work was worth the effort.
I really like the neon green with the teal and purple. They have a few butterflies on their website (careful, it seems to only like Internet Explorer) that matches quite well.
Jin Air is a low cost airline based in Korea and subsidiary of Korean Air. Although they currently have only 2 destinations, they are hoping to expand to Macau and Guam in the near future.

V Australia Boeing 777 coming in to land at LAX
Can you keep track of all the Virgin airlines that are out there now? Yes, the ones that are “Virgin ______” are easy to tell, but some aren’t so easy.
V Australia gives a big hint with the big “V”.The airline is the “sister” to Virgin Blue. The airline departs from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and flies to LAX and Phuket. Flights to Fiji will start on December 18th and they hope to get to Johannesburg by March 2010.
Virgin Blue put the name of the new airline up to vote. The final name choices were: Matilda Blue, V Australia, Australia Blue, Virgin Pacific, Amelia Blue, Didgeree Blue, Liberty Blue, and Virgin Australia. Of course V Australia won and they named their first plane after the 2nd place name, Digeree Blue.
They currently run four Boeing 777-300ER’s in a 3 class layout. Any guesses on what the next Virgin airline wil be called?

747-8 Paint Roll Out
Last week, Boeing showed off its “light” livery on the new Boeing 747-8 Freighter. This new Boeing livery saves time and cost, since it is less complex than their standard livery.
It has a simple white background, with stripe and “8” on the tail. I got a glimpse of the new livery myself while driving by Paine Field (don’t worry my passenger took that picture) and it looks even better in person than it does in pictures.
Check out the photo gallery of additional photos and video of the B747-8 Freighter (I love that wing).
